Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly concerned about a lack of transfer activity from Manchester United and could even leave the club before the end of the window.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, 37, was a headline signing for the Red Devils last summer but his Old Trafford homecoming meandered into mediocrity as Man Utd missed out on Champions League football with a lowly sixth-placed finish. New boss Erik ten Hag is desperate to turn the tide but the Reds are still yet to announce their first arrival of the summer.

Whilst United have laboured, rivals Manchester City and Liverpool have added world-class talent to their ranks with the multi-million arrivals of Erling Haaland and Darwin Nunez respectively – and with the new season just six weeks away there is growing disconnect within the United dressing room.

According to Spanish outlet AS, star man Ronaldo is worried that his final season at Man Utd will be a repeat of the previous 12 months and is desperate to see new faces through the door. The 37-year-old is therefore considering his Old Trafford future as he does not want to waste one of his final seasons fighting for European football.

The report states Ronaldo is not actively looking elsewhere at the moment and he is still determined to see out the remainder of his two-year contract. However, should United fail to add sufficient talent in the summer window, the Portugal international will then assess his options.
