The Nasarawa State government said on Thursday it had initiated the testing of government workers in the state for COVID-19.
The Director of Public Health in the state’s Ministry of Health, Dr. Ibrahim Adamu, unveiled this to journalists in Lafia.
Adamu said that the state government was resolved to check the spread of the infection in the state.
He included that all the staff in the branch of general wellbeing who were straightforwardly associated with the battle against the pandemic had been tried for the infection.
The Director stated: “Our methodology presently is that each government employee in the state ought to have the chance of being tried, and that is the thing that we need to do going ahead.”
He likewise told journalists that the state government was working out the methodology for test assortment from government workers in the different services starting from one week from now.
Adamu said 3,652 people had been tried for COVID-19 in the state with 443 affirmed cases.
