Court Adjourns Suit Against Coronation Of Omoba Emiko As Olu of Warri
Justice Agboje V.O. of a Delta State High Court in Warri has again adjourned to September 28 this year a suit filed by Chief Ayiri Emami seeking among other things to stop the coronation of Omoba Tsola Emiko as the 21st Olu of Warri on August 21.
Meantime, security operatives barred journalists from covering the court proceedings which commenced as early as about 9am at High Court 4.
Police Patrol vehicles blocked roads leading to the High court as early as 8am, allowing only pedestrians through the roads.
Journalists who pleaded to be allowed into the Courtroom to take notes so as to be accurate in their reports on proceedings in the court were politely asked to go back by some security men that stood at the main entrance to the Courtroom
It would be recalled that Justice Agboje had adjourned the matter to yesterday when it came up on July 22.
Prominent Itsekiri Chiefs at the court yesterday include the Iyatsere of Warri kingdom, Chief Johnson Amatserunleghe and Chief Brown Mene.
Some jubilant Itsekiri youths who stood along the roadside were heard expressing joy with the adjournment as they walked quietly away from the area in groups
