COMMUNIQUÉ AT THE END OF AN ONLINE SOUTH WEST ZONAL EXCO MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY, 17TH JANUARY, 2024
The Zonal meeting of the South West executives held online was presided over by the Vice President, Alhaji Ayodeji Ogunsakin.
After an extensive deliberations on issues affecting the zone over the years, it was agreed:-
That efforts should be intensified towards making SWAN more visible with programme ideas within the zone. Consequently, the process of organising programmes that would be of benefit to members in the zone have commenced.
That reconciliatory process at the zone which has commenced at the national level of the body, be hastened to address pending issues affecting the zone, especially affected chapters for the overall interest of all.
That after carefully observing the current issues at the national level of the Association, the Zone pledged its commitment and unalloyed support to the National President, Isaiah Benjamin led administration, while it equally calls for timely intervention by stakeholders towards resolving all forms of issues causing distractions in the Association.
The zone applauds the planned process of regularizing the production of membership registration and production of ID cards by the President, Isaiah Benjamin, as this will put an end to the irregularities associated with the process in the past.
The meeting also suggested that the membership card should be re-designed while National Secretariat should straighten the process concerning dues accrued to states and zones.
The zone sympathized with the Oyo State Chapter and the government of Oyo State on the destruction of properties and loss of lives due to the explosion that occurred on Tuesday.
