China is set to establish an electric vehicle (EV) plant in Nigeria! 🇳🇬⚡🚗

As the world’s largest EV producer, China has announced plans to build an electric vehicle manufacturing facility in Nigeria, marking a major step in the country’s industrialization efforts. The initiative aligns with Nigeria’s push to leverage its lithium reserves for EV battery production, strengthening its partnership with China.

The project was revealed during a meeting between China’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, and Nigeria’s Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Dele Alake. The discussions emphasized local processing of minerals to drive Nigeria’s development, rather than exporting raw materials.

This move could position Nigeria as a key player in Africa’s electric mobility revolution
