CAF WOMEN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUALIFIERS : DELTA QUEENS WILL CLINCH SOLE TICKET – Chisom Henry

Stand – in Captain of Delta Queens Football Club of Asaba, Chisom Henry says, her team that won the 2022/2023 league title of the Nigeria Women Football League Premiership is in pole position to clinch the sole ticket to represent West Africa at the third edition of the CAF Women’s Champions league .

The Imo State born utility player who captained Delta Queens for an unbeaten record of fifteen matches last season told Journalists in a recent interaction that Nigeria’s representative is presently working hard on tactical formation to consolidate preparation for next month Wafu Zone B Qualifiers for CAF Women Champions league tournament scheduled to hold on August 18th till September 2nd of this year at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Benin City, Edo State Nigeria.

 

 

The former Super falcons player admitted that in-depth knowledge about the style of play of their opponents from Burkina Faso, Benin Republic and Cote d’voire will be an added advantage to Coach Tosan Blackson tutored side that has been challenged through the office of the Chairman, Delta State Sports Commission, Chief. Tonobok Okowa and Club Chairperson, Henrietta Ehiabor to go for glory in the competition.

Chisom, who has maintained a fine form from left back position in the last seven months is confident that the Nigeria Champions will sustain its winning mentality going into the continental competition where they are drawn to face USFA of Burkina Faso, Athletico D’Abidjan of Cote d’Ivoire and Sam Nelly of Benin Republic in group A fixtures.
