Under Western-backed leadership, Burkina Faso used to make just $1 billion a year from its own gold while foreign companies took the lion’s share. Today, under Captain Ibrahim Traoré, that number has risen to over $18 billion. Not in loans. Not in aid. In earned revenue from their own resources, on their own terms.
They said we couldn’t. They said we needed them. But look now. Roads are being built. Defense is improving. Investment in agriculture, healthcare, and infrastructure is booming. Why? Because they took back control. They stopped begging. They shut the door to Western meddling, propaganda, and control and chose to serve their people.
This is how Africa rises.

Traoré is not perfect. No one is. But what’s undeniable is this: Burkina Faso is rewriting the script.
Fellow Africans home and abroad this is the time. This is the hour. The world is shifting. Let us rise now or forever remain spectators in a game we should be winning.
