Boris Becker: “Rafael Nadal can make history at the Australian Open 2021”
Talking about these much discussed Australian Open 2021, German former tennis legend Boris Becker gave his opinion on this Grand Slam tournament, and in particular about Rafael Nadal, who is looking for the 21 Major of his amazing career, which would mean overcoming Roger Federer.
Becker said: “People sometimes forget Rafael Nadal, who has 20 Grand Slam titles won and is fighting to make tennis history. I think he should be considered among the top favorites of the tournament. In addition to him, however, there is Dominic Thiem who last year won at the US Open and made the final here in Melbourne.
Women’s tennis? Over the last few years we have seen several champions, on the one hand it is beautiful but on the other it confuses the fans, I think there must be a rivalry between maximum 3-4 tennis players, not more.”
Australian Open 2021 and Nadal
After months of absence, great tennis has finally returned to play and after the appetizer with the ATP Cup at the beginning of the season, the Australian Open has finally begun, the first Grand Slam of 2021.

The main favorite of the tournament can only be reigning champion and world number one Novak Djokovic, a tennis player who has always done well here in Australia and who, among the insiders, is considered the clear favorite to win.
Then there are emerging or not emerging tennis players like Dominic Thiem, winner of the last US Open, Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev. Beyond them, however, the twenty-time Grand Slam title Rafael Nadal cannot be missing, the tennis player who in 2020 reached Roger Federer thanks to the victory at Roland Garros and who now has the possibility even to overcome him.
