DEAL: Netflix acquires Night School Studio to create gaming experience for users

Netflix has acquired Night School Studio, a video game creator to create great gaming experience for its users around the world.

In addition, the company released five mobile gaming titles in specific European countries.

Founded by Sean Krankel and Adam Hines in 2014, Night School Studio is best known for its critically acclaimed debut game, OXENFREE.

The deal demonstrates Netflix’s progress toward its goal of making video games a major part of its online streaming service.

What you should know  

  • Netflix plans to include games in its subscription service, with no advertisements or in-app sales.
  • Games by Night School Studio are available on Sony’s PlayStation, Microsoft’s Xbox, Nintendo’s Switch, and PCs.
