Bayelsa United defender Yinusa Sheriff says he is happy to be part of the Aiteo champions Nigeria Premier Football League campaign this season.
Sheriff joined the Prosperity Boys from Mighty Mukuru Wanderers Fc of Malawi in mid season to strengthen the Yenagoa based defense line.
Sheriff in an interview said he is glad for the club’s history this season from Mukuru Wanderers Fc, saying that his target is to help the former league champions remain in the NPFL.
He explained that the addition of new players into the squad has given the team a different direction in the league, stressing that the run of form in the second round is as a result of the smooth working relationship and understanding amongst players.
He noted that his target is to help the team sustain the league as the Prosperity Boys take on Doma United this weekend at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe and expressed optimism of qualifying for the super six at the regular season.
Asked if he will remain with the 2009 NPFL champions, the solid man said he would like to remain with Bayelsa United after the expiration of his three months loan with the Prosperity Boys.
