Bayelsa State Football Association Completes State League Draws
The draws for the 2024 Bayelsa State League have been completed in Yenagoa the state capital with sixteen teams in participation.
Sixteen teams will jostle for the trophy in the Bayelsa State League. The teams are grouped into four groups “A” to “D” with the winners of each group qualifying for the semi finals of the league.
According to the draws Foundation FC, De Rhema FC, Bayelsa Stars FC and Kingdom Stars FC are grouped in “A”. Matches in the group would be decided at the Swali pitch.
Celeb United FC, Advanced Dream Boys FC, Afini FC and Creek FC will battle each other at the Bishop Dimeari Grammar School BDGS center in group B.
Kpanisa center which has Excellent FC, Saturday FC, Donbai FC and the team of the Citiboi FC will have the luxury of hosting teams in group C of the competition.
Ogbia champions Movers FC of Otuasega, United FC, National Youth Service Corp NYSC FC and Silina FC will go head to head in group D at the Elebele center in Ogbia LGA.
All group games will kick off on Saturday, 17th August, 2024 at the designated centers. The winner of the tournament will smile home with five hundred thousand naira (500,000.00) while second place will receive two hundred and fifty thousand naira (250,000.00).
The winner of the Bayelsa State League will represent the state in the national division one playoffs while second place will play in the national youth league.
In a remark, chairman of the State Football League Mr. Perela Aboroson appealed to the players and coaches to be professional in their discharge of duties, stating that unprofessionalism would not be entertained.
Mr. Aboroson assured all the participating teams of good officiating and to as well abide by the rules of the game.
