Bayelsa State Basketball Association felicitates Governor Diri on re-election
The Bayelsa State Basketball Association has felicitated Governor Douye Diri and his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo on their second term re-election.
The head coach of the Bayelsa State Basketball, Tony Nelson on behalf of the chairman and the entire Basketball family in the state noted that the victory came as no surprise due to the good stewardship the Prosperity Government has shown in the past four years, particularly in the area of sports.
According to coach Tony Nelson the investment of the Prosperity Government in Sports Sector was evident in the performances of the State’s sportsmen in different competitions.
Tony Nelson who doubles as the coach Bayelsa State Basketball team, Bayelsa Blue Whales commended the deliberate involvement of the Prosperity Government in the development of Basketball in the state which resulted to St Jude’s Girls Secondary and Bishop Dimieri Grammar School exploits.
Similarly, Coach Tony heap praises on the Governor Douye Diri led administration for giving approval of establishment to the State owned Female Basketball team which has now provided avenue for young aspiring Basketball players to strive in the state.
Tony Nelson while appreciating Bayelsa people for voting massively for Governor Douye and his deputy called on them to continue to work assiduously with the Prosperity Government in delivering its good policies and programmes.
