Bayelsa Queens FC has felicitate with His Excellency Governor Douye Diri and his Deputy Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo on their landmark victory at the 2023 Bayelsa State Governorship Elections held on Saturday, November 11, 2023.
According to the official announcement on Monday 13 November, 2023, by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the incumbent defeated his challengers in six of the 8 Local Government Areas (LGA) of the state.
Chairman Bayelsa Queens football club Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala, on behalf of Management, players, technical crew and ad-hoc staff said the governor’s overwhelming victory in 6 LGAs is a testimony of his acceptance by the citizens based on his transformative and visionary leadership and his developmental strides most especially in the sporting sector.
“We pray for God’s protection, guidance, and the wisdom of Solomon and good health to the Governor and his Deputy, to consolidates on their laudable “Prosperity Works” going on in the state for another four years”… Pastor Apreala said.
Pastor Apreala said the people’s power, as expressed in Bayelsa election, remained the most potent force in any democracy and commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for upholding the people’s will despite reported pressure to unduly influence the outcome of the poll.
“Your win is a victory for Bayelsa State and it also validates that truly, power belongs to God and the people.” Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala added.
