Bayelsa Queens Boss Hails Teams Spirit For Edo Queens Victory, Appreciates Government for Support

 

Bayelsa Queens chairman Pastor Robin Apreala has hailed the Prosperity Girls for their smooth victory over rivals Edo Queens in a matchday seven of the Nigeria Women Premier Football League NWFL decided at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa.

 

The Prosperity Girls trounced Edo Queens 3-0 with Chinyere Igboamalu netting her first Hat trick of the season for the former NWFL champions having dominated in the first half.

 

Pastor Apreala in an interview after the victory, commended the girls for the show of determination and commitment displayed by the girls, pointing out that the victory has further placed Bayelsa Queens high.

 

He noted that the win has brought relief to the entire team particularly the players describing the victory as soul lifting, noting that the target of the side at the moment was to qualify super six.

 

Pastor Apreala lauded the governor Senator Douye Diri and his Deputy Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo for the financial support rendered to the girls, saying that the only way to respond to the gesture was to win and return to the continent.

 

He equally appreciated the commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Chief Daniel Igali for his perfect supervisory role has continued to provide for Bayelsa Queens and the ministry.

 

The clergyman however thanked the fans for the relentless and undiminished support for the team and urged them not to rest in their oars.
