Bayelsa Guber poll: Gender advocacy groups endorses Gov. Diri over performance
Scores of Gender Advocacy groups in Bayelsa State have declared their readiness to support and vote for the second term of Governor Douye Diri and his Deputy, Sen. Lawrence Erhudjakpo come November 11th Governorship election in the state.
According to the Gender Advocacy groups, numbering over Sixty and across the Eight local government arras of the State,young girls and women of of State are not blinded to the enormous contributions of the prosperity Government of Bayelsa State on gender related issues.

The Gender Advocacy groups under the aegis of the Gender Advocate Ambassadors for Diri/law 2023 and led by Dr. Dise Ogbise Goddy Harry, during a meeting with the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, High Chief Collins Cocodia, pledged their unalloyed commitment to support the People’ s Democratic Party (PDP) by voting massively for it’s candidate, Gov. DOUYE DIRI and his Deputy His EXCELLENCY SENATOR Lawrence Erhudjakpo as Governor and Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State on the 11th of November 2023.
Dr Dise Ogbise Goddy Harry also pointed out that the rationale behind the coming together of women to form the Gender Advocate Ambassadors for Diri/law 2023 was due to the enormous contributions of the prosperity Government of Bayelsa State on gender related issues in the State.
According to Dr Harry ,” the setting up of the Bayelsa State Gender Response initiative team is one amongst the many contributions of the prosperity Government to the support of women in the state.”
“This women we are all seeing today are all gender advocates and are all beneficiaries of the structures put in place by the Prosperity Government to curb gender based violence” .
The Gender Advocate ambassadors for Diri/ Law 2023 also appreciated the political mathematician of Bayelsa State High Chief Collins Cocodia for his outstanding Contributions in the political space in Bayelsa State by presenting a certificate of appreciation to him.
In his response, High Chief Collins Cocodia appreciated the GAA4DIRI/LAW 2023 for their commitment and descision to vote for his principals that have faithfully served Bayelsans and will do more when elected again for a second tenure.
He also promised to work with the team as his office is open to all Bayelsans.
