BARR. GEORGE TURNAH (MON) CONGRATULATES NEWLY ELECTED PDP 8 LGA CHAIRMEN, 105 COUNCILORS FOR THEIR VICTORY, URGES THEM TO REMAIN ALIGNED TO THE PROSPERITY AGENDA OF GOVERNOR DOUYE DIRI

The legal Adviser to the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP), High Chief (Barr.) Alabh George Turnah, MON, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected eight (8) council chairmen and the one hundred and five (105) ward councilors for their resounding victories in the recently concluded local government elections in Bayelsa State. He believes their triumphs mark not only personal achievements but also the trust and confidence bestowed upon them by the people of their respective local government areas.

 

In a statement signed by his Media Assistant, Egbo Kelvin Loveday, the immediate past Executive Assistant to the Bayelsa State Governor on Public Affairs and Social Orientation notes that the PDP candidates’ dedication to public service and commitment to the betterment of their respective communities have been duly recognized through the ballot box, adding that as they step into new roles as local government area chairmen and ward councilors, he has full confidence that they will continue to prioritize the needs and aspirations of the people.

 

Barr. Turnah commends each of them for their unwavering determination and hard work throughout the electoral process, saying the perseverance in the face of challenges and unwavering belief in the democratic process have been instrumental in achieving this victory.

 

Furthermore, Barr. Turnah extends his appreciation to the Bayelsa State Independent Electoral Commission (BYSIEC) for its commendable efforts in ensuring a smooth and transparent electoral exercise. “The commission’s dedication to upholding the principles of fairness and impartiality has contributed significantly to the success of the elections”.
