The world will come to a standstill this evening when Argentina and France face-off at the Lusail Stadium in the 2022 FIFA World Cup final.
France will be looking to make it back-to-back World Cup triumphs. Argentina on the other hand will be desperate to win their first title since 1986, and third overall.
Les Bleus booked their place in the final after a gritty 2-0 victory over Africa’s heroes Morocco.
Argentina showed their class in a Lionel Messi inspired 3-0 win over Croatia in their semi-final.

“I know Argentinian fans and maybe some French people would hope Lionel Messi can win the World Cup but we are going to do everything to achieve our objective.” France coach Didier Deschamps said as quoted by Express.
“I often get that feeling but I am fine being alone, that doesn’t bother me. Most fans will probably support Argentina because they are Argentinian.
“Or will be supporting that team (because of Lionel Messi). There will be a very festive atmosphere, as Argentinians are a very passionate people.
“They get behind their team and that is a positive thing, it is good to have an atmosphere like that in a World Cup final.”
