ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS APPOINTS ACE BROADCASTER AND COMMUNICATIONS PROFESSIONAL TO LEAD MEDIA AND PUBLICITY DIRECTORATE OF THE GUBERNATORIAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL
The All Progressives Congress has appointed a thoroughbred strategic media and communications expert, Tukuwei Perry as the Director of Media and Publicity for the Bayelsa APC Gubernatorial Campaign Council.
Mr Tukuwei who hails from Toru-Ndoro community in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa state is expected to bring to bear his exceptional wealth of experience having worked in the media, communications and international development sector.
An alumnus of the School of Politics, Policy and Governance, Mr Tukuwei leads communication initiatives geared towards sustainable development in the Niger Delta region.
The BBC trained journalist with a PhD in view in Development Studies won the Best on Air Personality, Best Television Presenter in the Niger Delta as well as Bayelsa’s Best Journalist of the Year five years in a row from 2015- 2020
The 2015 Niger Delta University Alumni of the Year was a one time acting Head of Programmes Raypower FM Yenagoa before he was elevated to the national network in Abuja when he is a co-anchor of one of Africa’s flagship television breakfast programme ‘Kaakaki’ on African Independent Television, AIT
With this appointment, Mr Perry Tukuwei becomes the youngest to lead a Gubernatorial Campaign Media and Publicity directorate in the history of Bayelsa state; a testament to Chief Timipre Sylva’s mantra of encouraging exceptional young talents and professionals to man leadership positions for the good of Bayelsa state.
