Agbedi Congratulates Adeleke on Osun Victory, Says Result Will Rejuvenate Opposition Confidence
The Minority Leader of the House of Representatives and PDP Flagbearer for the Bayelsa West Senatorial District in the 2027 general election, Rt. Hon. (Chief) Frederick Yeitiemone Agbedi, Ph.D., has congratulated the Governor of Osun State, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on his successful re-election for a second term in office.
In a congratulatory message, Chief Agbedi described Governor Adeleke’s victory as a significant milestone for democracy and a strong demonstration of the confidence reposed in the opposition by the people of Osun State.
He commended the people of Osun State for exercising their democratic rights with courage and conviction, while also applauding members and supporters of the opposition who put aside political differences and rallied behind Governor Adeleke.
According to him, the outcome of the election underscores the strength of unity, solidarity and collective action, particularly when political stakeholders work together toward a common objective.
Chief Agbedi also expressed appreciation to his colleagues, party leaders, supporters and other stakeholders whose contributions, commitment and solidarity played significant roles in the electoral victory.
He noted that the Osun result would rejuvenate confidence within the opposition camp and further strengthen the resolve of Nigerians who believe in good governance, effective representation, accountability and democratic principles.
The Minority Leader expressed optimism that the unity and cooperation demonstrated in Osun State would be sustained and replicated across the country ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“May God bless us with victory in 2027 to take over power for the betterment of Nigeria. To God be all the glory. This is a moment of joy. We can do it again by working together,” he stated.
Chief Agbedi further urged opposition stakeholders to sustain the momentum by strengthening grassroots engagement, deepening unity and remaining focused on the interests and aspirations of the Nigerian people.
He described Governor Adeleke’s re-election as an encouraging signal that the electorate is willing to support credible leadership and alternative political platforms, while calling on opposition leaders to remain united and committed to the task ahead.
He once again congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke and the people of Osun State, wishing the Governor continued wisdom, good health and success as he commences his second term in service to the people of the state.
