Bayelsa NYSC brace up to receive deployed Corps members

The Bayelsa State chapter of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is bracing up to receive Corps members deployed to the State for the forthcoming Orientation Course.
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp for the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream One is expected to open on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
Arrival and registration is expected to close by Friday, October 2, 2026 (by midnight) and Swearing-In Ceremony by Friday, October 2, 2026
The State Coordinator, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Bayelsa State, Mr. Samuel Amaramiro Pepple, has already met with camp officials hahead of the exercise, charging them against complacency and urging them to ensure smooth exercise.

He also urged collaborating agencies to demonstrate diligence, teamwork and commitment towards the successful conduct of the forthcoming Orientation Course.
Pepple during a meeting with Heads of Assignment and Heads of collaborating agencies, cautioned officials against complacency, stressing that previous experience should not be taken for granted.
He encouraged them to embrace necessary improvements and approach their responsibilities with renewed commitment, reminding them that “everything worth doing is worth doing well.”

Pepple directed relevant committees to strengthen security arrangements, ensure a seamless registration process devoid of prolonged queues, regulate activities within the camp market and guard against the exploitation of corps members through excessive pricing.
He also stressed the need for proper medical screening to ascertain the health status of corps members and ensure that those requiring medical attention are promptly identified and adequately attended to.
The Camp Director, Mr. Anumaka Raymond Kennedy equally called for collective responsibility and active participation in camp activities, noting that effective collaboration among officials would contribute significantly to the smooth conduct of the exercise.
