LEAGA 2026: Lagos Entertainment Association Games and Awards Begin Today

The much-anticipated Lagos Entertainment Association Games and Awards (LEAGA) 2026 begins today, Tuesday, September 22, 2026, bringing together stakeholders from the sports and entertainment industries for five days of competition, networking and recognition.
The event, tagged Lagos Sportainment Festival with the fresh desire to create a “Lagos lifestyle blend of Sports & Entertainment,” will run from September 22 to 26, 2026, with activities taking place at different venues in Lagos.
Organised ny Studio 18 Hub and Francosh Group with the support of the Lagos State Government and the Lagos State Sports Commission, LEAGA 2026 is designed to promote interaction and unity among professionals across the entertainment and sports sectors.
The Games feature a wide range of sporting events, including football, basketball, tennis, table tennis, athletics, draughts, tug of war, ayo olopon, sack race, arm wrestling, snooker, scrabble and ludo.
The athletics programme will include the 100m, 200m, 4x100m and 4x100m mixed relay, adding a competitive track-and-field dimension to the five-day event.
Several organisations within Nigeria’s entertainment, media and creative sectors are participating in the Games. They include Complete Sports, Dance Centre, NTDA, Deejays Association of Nigeria, Actors Guild of Nigeria, PMAN, Musicians Union of Nigeria, NANTA, Kogond, FAMAN, Citizens 97.3FM, Tamajan, Pulse.ng, Star FM and Brila Media, among others.
The event also lists Salonpas, Pocari Sweat, Golden Penny, Mutual Aids Specialist (Insurance), Fellon BDC, Hazrat Homes, CWAY foods, Lingzhi tea among its partners, with Verdant Zeal featuring prominently as a participating organisation.
The major venues for LEAGA 2026 include Yabatech Sports Centre, Yaba; Studio 18 Hub, No. 18 Atunrase Estate, Gbagada; and Rowe Park Centre, off Herbert Macaulay Way, Yaba, Lagos.
Beyond the sporting contests, LEAGA 2026 is expected to provide an avenue for professionals in sports and entertainment to build relationships, showcase their talents and celebrate achievements within their respective industries.
With competition across several sporting disciplines and participation from prominent entertainment and media organisations, the 2026 Lagos Entertainment Association Games and Awards gets underway today in Lagos.
