Liverpool to replace Mohamed Salah with Luis Suarez – Report
According to recent reports Liverpool are thinking of signing Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez, if Mohamed Salah leaves this summer.
Liverpool have been struggling on the attacking front this season. A part from Salah, who leads his teams’ goalscoring charts with 25 goals, more than Mane and Firmino combined (18).
Even Jota, who was brought in to add more attacking options for the Reds, failed to make a real change mainly due to injuries.
Due to Liverpool’s poor form, Salah’s future at Liverpool has been in question for a while, with the Egypt international being heavily linked with a move to Spain.
Since his interview with Spanish news outlet AS, where he didn’t rule out a move to one of the Spanish giants, speculations regarding his departure have increased.
Some rumours suggest that he’s discontent in Merseyside, and to add insult to injury, a couple of weeks ago his agent Ramy Abbas posted a suspicious tweet following his substitution against Chelsea.
Now, a move could be possible as Liverpool are already looking for their replacement in their former player Luis Suarez according to Fichajes.net.
The Uruguay international has been in superb form with Atletico Madrid this season, making 21 direct goal contributions [19 goals and two assists] in 31 appearances so far.
Liverpool is where Suarez arguably became recognized as a world class player, where he stayed three and became engraved as on of the best strikers to play for the Reds, scoring 82 goals.
