Warri Peace Ambassadors Celebrate Sheriff Mulade’s NDC Primary Victory Ahead of 2027 Elections
The Warri Peace Ambassadors have congratulated Chief Sheriff Mulade, PhD, following his victory at the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) primary election for the Warri Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group described the outcome of the primary as a strong indication of the confidence and trust reposed in Mulade by party members and supporters across the constituency.
In a statement jointly signed by the President of the group, Mrs. Tessy Oki, and its Secretary, Comrade Friday Ugedi, the Peace Ambassadors said Mulade’s emergence reflected his growing acceptance among the Ijaw, Itsekiri and Urhobo ethnic nationalities in Warri Federal Constituency.
According to the group, the victory was not only a political achievement but also a recognition of years of grassroots advocacy and community engagement by the former activist and peace advocate.
They noted that Mulade’s contributions to peacebuilding, youth empowerment, education support and conflict resolution had earned him widespread respect within and outside Delta State.
The statement further highlighted his role as a United Nations Peace Ambassador, saying his interventions in community disputes and youth-related issues had helped to promote stability and dialogue in the Niger Delta region.
The group added that his emergence as the NDC candidate signaled hope for inclusive leadership and effective representation for the people of Warri Federal Constituency.
They called on members and supporters of the Nigeria Democratic Congress to unite behind Mulade ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to the Peace Ambassadors, collective support for the candidate would strengthen the party’s chances of securing victory at the polls.
Chief Sheriff Mulade is expected to officially receive the party’s mandate following the formal declaration of the primary election results by NDC officials.
