Bayelsa United Chairman Hails Team’s Performance Against Kano Pillars

The chairman of Bayelsa United, Dr Tarilaye Nwankwe has commended the players and coaches of the club over the show of determination against Kano Pillars in their matchday twelve fixture of the Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL.
Bayelsa United on Sunday played out goalless draw with former champions, Kano Pillars in matchday twelve tie decided at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina to renew their hopes in the league.
Dr. Nwankwe gave the commendation shortly after the draw against the Sai Masu Gida in Katsina, stressing that the point secured away has brought smiles to the faces of the supporters who were following the game at home.
He noted that the performance of the lads in the last two games was indicative of the team’s spirit and commitment of the boys, stating that their sterling outing so far in the season would go a long way to define their season.
Dr. Nwankwe, urged the players and coaches not to rest on their oars till they meet their target for the season, pointing out that their performance away from home this season has shown that Bayelsa United can win any team.
The club chairman lauded the commissioner for Sports Development, Dr Daniel Igali who was with the team in Katsina for the supportive role he has continued to play for the team to secure results in the league.
He equally appreciated the State Government for ensuring that the team is transported by air for long-distance journeys
“I was very pleased with the way our players played away from home, and I think if we can keep this spirit going as the league progresses, we should be in a very respectable position in the League.”
”Certainly, this is a feat that would not have been feasible without the efforts and commitment of the Bayelsa State Government, and our supporters, we are desirous to see that the team continue to give their best” he stated.
