Breaking: Bayelsa Women protest against negligence by Oil giant, Oando in Okoroma community

Aggrieved women of Okoroma-Clan (Obama) in Nembe Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, have staged a protest match to the location of the Oil Multinational OandO Oil company over alleged negligence.
According to the Women, despite the fact that the oil Multinational,OandO have been operating in the area for over 55years, the people have felt no impact in terms of human capacity and infrastructure development.

They claimed they have not benefitted from either the Federal,State or the oil multinationals..
The aggrieved women, armed with placards with inscriptions such as “Enough is Enough!”, “We have been neglected and suffering”, threatened to continue the protest until the multinational, OandO come down to the meet with them and approve their demands.
Our correspondent observed that the protesting women are armed with kitchen utensils and sleeping materials in order to sustain the protest match for days.
