GRSE from India to deliver one Fast Patrol Vessel to Seychelles coast guard
According to a Tweet published on February 4, 2021, a contract for delivering one Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV) was signed between Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd (GRSE) and the Government of Seychelles.

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd (GRSE) is one of India’s leading shipyards, located in Kolkata, West Bengal. The company builds and repairs commercial and naval vessels. GRSE has designed and built a number of warships and patrol vessels for the Indian Navy and the Coast Guard. Vessels built at GRSE include guided-missile frigates, corvettes, fleet tankers, fast patrol vessels, amphibious warfare vessels and hovercraft.
The Fast Patrol Vessel will be delivered to the Coast Guard of Seychelles, the archipelagic island country. In 2015, India has donated INS Tarmugli patrol vessel to the Government of Seychelles which is now used by the Seychelles Coast Guard Patrol Ship under the name of SCGPS Topaz.
GRSE inshore patrol vessels and patrol vessels are indigenously designed having a tonnage of 280-304 tones. These patrol vessels are designed to conduct marine surveillance and rescue operation. These vessels allow its user to equip the vessels with armaments for use in combat, and this is suited for interception of fast moving surface craft and performs anti-smuggling, fishery protection and search and rescue operations.
As of the date, GRSE has already delivered eight (8) inshore patrol vessels and seventeen (17) patrol vessels to the Indian Coast Guard. In addition, the company has also delivered twenty (20) Patrol Vessels to the Indian Navy.
