NPFL 25: Bosso Targets First Victory of the Season, Calls for Calm
Bayelsa United will this weekend at the Samson Siasia stadium, Yenagoa take on Plateau United in a matchday six of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.
The Prosperity Boys will be aiming to earn their first victory in the ongoing NPFL campaign having secured a point last weekend against Nasarawa United at the Lafia Township Stadium.
United are currently 18th on the log after five games, losing two and three draws while the visitors Plateau United occupies NPFL 5th place on eight points with the same games.
Last season, the Jos based side lost 3-2 to Bayelsa United with goals from Wisdom Magbisa, Tekena Garando and John Bassey on 41, 43 and 59 minutes ensuring Plateau United return home empty handed.
The visitors on December 17th, 2023 at the new Jos Stadium humbled Bayelsa United 5-1 courtesy of Albert Hilary’s hattrick as well as Silas Nenrot and Izuchukwu Chimezie and Ekeson Okorie’s consolation goal.
Bayelsa United Technical Adviser, Ladan Bosso in a post match interview, said the team is gradually improving after the five games, stating that with the progress of the team the fans should expect a better performance.
According to him, he has observed the problem in the team and that he was working towards fixing it in order to change the fortunes of the team describing the team’s current situation as temporary.
He appealed to the fans to be patient with the team that positive results would soon start coming as the league progresses, saying that he was concerned about the results.
