Bayelsa NYSC Spokesperson bags Rekordbreakers Global Award 2024
The Public Relations Officer of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC), Bayelsa State, Pastor Sir Matthew Ngobua has been nominated for the Rekordbreakers Global Award 2024.
The award is jointly organized by Global Youth Mental Health Awareness (GYMHA) Australia and Nigerian Book of Record ( NBR).
Matthew Ngobua is also a Chaplain, Author and Spiritual Director at Global Youth Mental Health Awareness (GYMHA) Inc. Australia, and Board Certified Chaplain (BCC).
In the nomination letter, Chaplain Professor Pastor Sir Matthew Ngobua was described as a multifaceted Icon and a distinguished professional with an impressive list of credentials and accomplishments.
He is the first Associate Professor of Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care in Nigeria.
Ngobua was born in Adikpo, Benue State and has paved a path of success and impact in various fields.
He started his educational journey from St. Ann’s Primary School and NKST Secondary School, both in Adikpo.
He furthered his studies at Benue State University, Makurdi. In 2007, he joined the Services of the National Youth Service Corps as a Public Relations Officer, later becoming the Head of Public Relations and schedule officer for the Nigeria Christian Corpers Fellowship (NCCF) at the NYSC Secretariat in Bayelsa State.
In addition to his work in the NYSC, Matthew Ngobua serves as an Assistant Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and a Faculty Member and Missionary at the Redeemed College of Missions in Bayelsa. He is also actively involved in leadership positions such as being a Chaplain Officer for Redemption Chaplaincy International and an educator in chaplaincy.
Matthew Ngobua’s expertise and dedication have earned him various certifications and licenses, including being a Board Certified Chaplain (BCC), a Spiritual Care Education Supervisor (SCES), a Counter Terrorism Chaplain Specialist, and a Human Rights Chaplain Specialist.
Moreover, he is certified and licensed as a Hospital Chaplain and Spiritual Care Specialist.
Matthew Ngobua’s influence reaches beyond Nigeria, as he serves as the Spiritual Director for Global Youth Mental Health Awareness (GYMHA) in Australia.
He also holds the title of the International Ambassador and Head of Media for the Association of Professional Chaplains In Nigeria (APCIN).
Notably, his contributions have been recognized with numerous merit awards worldwide.
Authorship and Academic Achievements
As an author, Matthew Ngobua has written seven (7) enlightening books on chaplaincy and spiritual care.
