NDDC Trains Staff on Effective Projects Monitoring and Evaluation
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), in collaboration with Marg Education International Ltd, held a retreat for the Office of the Executive Director Projects, NDDC. The retreat, themed “Effective Projects Monitoring and Evaluation,” took place at Watbridge Hotel and Suites in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
During his address, Sir Victor Antai, KJW, Executive Director Projects NDDC, expressed his ambition to be the most effective Executive Director of Projects in the commission’s history.
He stated, “From the very first day I assumed office, I made no secret of my ambition, I want to be the best EDP NDDC has ever seen. This retreat, focusing on ‘Effective Project Monitoring and Evaluation,’ is a strategic initiative designed to equip us for the monumental task ahead.
While we face significant challenges, with the right tools, knowledge, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, we can overcome them. Let’s get to work and make history together.”
Keynote speakers at the event included Ahmed Michael Mustapha and Dr. Gbenga Lajorim.
Dr. Gbenga Lajorim emphasized the importance of effective project monitoring and evaluation, stating, “When executing any NDDC project, it is crucial to observe and track the project’s progress, performance, and quality control during monitoring. Additionally, a systematic assessment of the project’s objectives and goals is essential to determine its success, impact, and value during evaluation. Stakeholder satisfaction should always be prioritized in the execution of NDDC projects.”
