A Transport Company, TripLi, has launched a new transportation company to ease the mode of transportation and reduce traffic congestion in Bayelsa State.
TripLi also launched the Professor Samuel Gowon Edoumiekumo innovative Hub in memory of the late Vice Chancellor of the Niger Delta University(NDU) with a call for partnership with state government and spirited individuals to train youths in tech.
Speaking with journalists shortly after the launch, Chief Executive Officer, CEO of TripLi Company, Mr. Onowode Tobore Derick said the objectives of the launch of the company was to ease the mode of transportation and reduce traffic congestion in the State.
He also noted that the new transport company will improve on riders’ and passengers’ security, insisting that there would be full security gadget, including a dashboard camera that will give 24-hour audio-visual feeds to the control centre, had been pre-installed on each car deployed for the scheme.
Also speaking, former speaker of the State house of Assembly, Mr Tonye Isenah, who emphasized on paper qualification, urged the youths to take advantage of technology to better their lots.
Mr Isenah, who said he was impressed with achievements of the indigenous company, called on the state government to key into the vision of Tripli as well as train more Bayelsans on technology.
Narrating her experience, user of the app, Miss Pretty Jacob, expressed satisfaction with the services of the transport company, saying she enjoyed her ride.
Miss Jacob, encouraged Bayelsans to take advantage of Tripli transport company in order to enjoy the comfort of their money.
The ceremony was also graced by Secretary to State Government, Professor Nimibofa Ayawei, Vice Chancellor of NDU, Professor Allen Agih, stakeholders in the transportation industry and the public.
TripLI also used the medium to organize music and comedy event which featured MC Monica, T Classic, MC Pashun and MC Koloman(Titus and Prosper of Flatmates), Jah wondah, Idyl and more.
