DELTA FOOTBALL STAKEHOLDER BEG GOVERNOR SHERIFF TO PAY DELTA QUEENS TWO MONTHS UNPAID SALARIES, RAISES ISSUES OF CAMP FACILITIES

 

A Football Stakeholder in Sapele town Delta State Mr. Aghoghophia Solomon is appealing to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to pay off two months salaries and two matches bonuses to players of Delta Queens Football Club.

Mr.Solomon message was contained in a statement officially released to Journalists at the weekend wants the Governor to prioritize players welfare like his colleagues in Bayelsa, Rivers and Abia States.

The statement draws the Delta State Government attention to the urgent need to motivate the team that is currently the league champions of the Nigeria Women Football League .

He added that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori should look into the team camp facilities following late reports that the camp in Asaba is faced with challenge of faulty borehole facilities and roof leaking problem when it rains.

Mr. solomon release further asked the Delta State Governor to increase the ten thousand naira #10,000 match bonus and end the regular deduction of players salaries under the administration of two term chairman of the State Sports Commission Mr. Tonobok Okowa.

The statement also pleaded with the Governor Sheriff People’s Democratic Party administration to appoint
an experience and passionate sports administrator as the next Chairman of Delta State Sports Commission.

Presently, Delta Queens is occupying the fifth position on the ground B of the Nigeria Women Football League table with twelve points .
