Bayelsa United Management Salutes Gov Diri and his Deputy on Second Term Inauguration
The management of Bayelsa United Football Club, has joined other well-meaning Bayelsans to congratulate Governor Douye Diri and his Deputy Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo on their second term Inauguration.
The club in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman Mr. Ebiki Timitimi and his secretary Mr. Odogu Ekpolaemi, said that Diri’s emergence for another term in office was epoch-making.
According to them, the State helmsman Prosperity vision for Bayelsans has brought sustainable growth and development to the people of the State, describing the governor’s achievements in the first term as laudable.
The statement hails the governor’s unprecedented passion for the development of sports in his first tenure which according to the club was pivotal of the Bayelsa United emergence as Aiteo Cup champions as well as the return of the team to the Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL after seven years in the wilderness of Nigeria football.
The duo of Timitimi and Ekpolaemi notes that the governor’s unparalleled love for sports has given Bayelsa national and global attention with the winning State finishing second in National Sports Festival in Asaba Delta State for the first time, winning the National Para Games back to back and Blessing Oborodudu giving Nigeria the only silver medal in the last Olympic games in Tokyo, Japan.
The statement appreciated the Governor Douye Diri and his deputy Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo for their statesmanship and all-inclusive disposition, describing his victory and subsequent inauguration as a milestone achievement.
Bayelsa United assured the prosperity administration of their commitment to sustain the NPFL at the end of season, pointing that lads are fully prepared for the commencement of the second round of the league this weekend.
They equally lauded the governor, Senator Douye Diri and his Deputy Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo for giving sports premium attention as well as appointing technocrats in the sports sector.
