Rivers and Cross Rivers Reaches South South U-18 Football Tournament
The boys have been separated from men in the ongoing South South U-18 football tournament in Yenagoa the Bayelsa State, capital as Cross Rivers and Rivers State reached the final of the youth championship.
The South South U-18 championship in Yenagoa has witnessed avalanche of talents from the six participating States which include, Delta, Edo, Rivers, Cross Rivers, Akwa Ibom and host Bayelsa State.
Rivers State in the first semi final decided at the Biogbolo/Yenizuegene Community Secondary School field trounced Edo 3-1 to book a place in the final while host Bayelsa lost 1-3 to energetic and resilient Cross Rivers State.
A brace from Raymond Okon in the 8th minute and 41st and Azor Miracle on 26th minute gave the Cross Riverian a smooth victory to the final of the tournament.
The final of the spectacle between Rivers and Cross Rivers would come up tomorrow by 4pm at the Biogbolo/Yenizuegene Community Secondary School field while the third place comes up by 2pm at the same venue as Bayelsa square up against Edo State.
