TANTITA SECURITY IMPOUND VESSEL IN BAYELSA
HOPEFUL OF IMPROVE SYNERGY WITH NAVY TO STOP OIL THIEVES

Award winning private security company of the year 2023 in Nigeria, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited in collaboration with security agencies have impounded an oil bunkering vessel “Harbor Spirit” laden with estimated eighty-eight thousand litres of crude oil in Bayelsa State.
The surveillance company Executive Director of Operations and Technical, Captain Warredi Enisuoh broke the news to Journalists at Oporoza waterways in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State where the vessel is anchored for waiting further investigations.
According to Captain Warredi, the seized vessel is a Moldovan registered ship that has been operating on the nation’s maritime domain for years but was recently put on surveillance following intelligence.
The Tantita Executive Director says the vessel was apprehended by it’s operatives with the support of military personnel at Sangana Oil Field in Brass Council Area of Bayelsa, where they were illegally stealing Nigeria’s black gold (crude oil) at about one am last Sunday.
The Tantita senior staff added that the management of the private security is grateful to Chief of Defence of staff, General Christopher Musa and Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla for continued support towards the war against theft and promised to partner with the Nigerian Navy to closed any gap exploited by oil thieves across the creek of the Niger Delta.
The Captain of the apprehended vessel, Shittu Joseph admitted in an interview with Journalists that he is a staff of Joju Oil and Gas Company based in Lagos adding that they were instructed to suck oil sludge from an oil field in Sanga but he was uncomfortable with arrangement at a point while on board.
Shittu noted that at a point he resolve to disembark from the trip, Operatives of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited and men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps arrested them.
He further stated that they where fifteen crew on board but three jumped inside the sea in the process of the arrest.
The Head of Investigation, Police Special Task on Petroleum and illegal Bunkering, Omar Sini who accompany the Tantita Security Services Officials to the Oporoza for inspection of the vessel says, the Police will thoroughly investigate those involved in the crime in line with the Inspector General of Police Directive as activated in section 4 sub section d of the Police and regulation act 2020 and details will be communicated to the public through the office of the Force Public Relation Officer.
