OPERATIONAL BRIEFINGS FOR TACTICAL AND OPERATIONAL COMMANDERS AND ASSESSMENT OF SECURITY DEPLOYMENTS, CP GUMEL CHARGED OFFICERS TO MAINTAIN THE ALERTNESS

As part of the proactive measures for ensuring comprehensive security deployment in anticipation of the Supreme Court Judgement for the Kano State Governorship Election Petition, the Kano State Police Command has reviewed the situation and reinforced other identified locations. While the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Mohammed Usaini Gumel, FIPMA, psc conducted along with the relevant heads of security agencies delivered a detailed briefing for all operational commanders directing them to coordinate strongly with synergy for working together to make the state safe in anticipation of the Supreme Court Judgement.

 

  1. The briefing was also aimed at adequately reinforcing our collective operational readiness and also to streamlining strategic coordination and alignment of intelligence to further bolster security measures ahead of this pivotal decision.

  2. Furthermore, the briefing serves as a testament to the Kano State Police Command’s commitment towards safeguarding public safety and maintaining law and order during this critical period. It also underscores the Command’s dedication to preemptively addressing potential security challenges and ensuring a robust and coordinated response to any eventualities that may arise.

  1. The CP also charged the Officers to maintain alertness and remain resolute in their mandate to uphold the rule of law and provide a safe and secure environment for all residents in the State.

  2. The CP urges the public to remain calm and continue with their lawful activities, assuring them that the Kano State Police Command in liaison with the Military and other Security Agencies in the State is steadfast in its commitment to preserving peace and security throughout this process.
