Wrestling Federation Mourns The Passing Of Its Wrestler
The Nigeria Wrestling Federation has mourned the passing away of a young Wrestler John Jerry who was from Akwa Ibom state.
The Wrestling Federation in a statement by the Secretary General Mohammed H. Maigidansanma through its Media Assistant Promise Okotoko expressed the sad tragedy of John Jerry who passed after their boat capsized on their way back from Peremabiri for a traditional wrestling tournament with other wrestlers.
Young John Jerry was brought into the Wrestling Federation by the President of the Federation, Daniel Igali for his high performance in training at the wrestling centre in Yenagoa.
The Wrestling Federation with tears mourns the accident which happened around Onyoma/Oporoma of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.
Similarly, the Wrestling Federation condoles with its President Daniel Igali on the passing of his uncle Gellesthorpe
Gellesthorpe who was the only uncle left of Daniel Igali’s mum’s side departed at age 90.
Gellesthorpe shaped the upbringing of the world and Olympic champion from age 3-9 when his parents were in abroad.
The Nigeria Wrestling Federation in totality expressed its sadness with the passing of the duo and pray for God Almighty to grant the respective families the fortitude to carry on.
Meanwhile, the NWF noted that the Burial arrangements of the departed will be communicated as authorized by the family.
