NFF MISAPPROPRIATED FUNDS: THE THREATS, INTIMIDATION, DISTRACTION, BLACKMAIL AND MOVES TO STOP US – THE JOURNEY SO FAR
Suspects of the NFF misappropriated funds deployed two strategies to get off the hook the first strategy was that of engagement. They engaged yours sincerely and his team in 10 different meetings with high profile Nigerians to pile tremendous pressure on us to withdraw all petitions against them.
Meeting N0.1 presided by one of the late suspects elder brother was held in a bungalow owned by same suspect the bungalow is located in GRA Warri opposite the Federal high court. Meeting N0. 2 & 3 was at the Olu,s Palace Warri presided by his Royal majesty of blessed memory Ogiame Atunwase the 1st the Olu of Warri. Meeting N0. 4 was held behind Rita Lori hotels Surulere lagos presided by a female high chief of Warri kingdom who is proprietor of Rita Lori hotels same meeting was adjourned to chief Rita Lori-Ogbebor’s residence along Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor street GRA Warri.
Meeting N0. 5 was held at a guest house in Alaka Estate Surulere lagos presided by an Ex-International, a former NPFL chairman and 2n Vice President of the NFF. Meeting NO.6 took place at the Police officers mess Onikan lagos presided by president of the Itsekiri National youth council comrade Weyinmi Agbas now Hon. Commissioner for youth development Delta State also present at that meeting is Ex-International Ikechukwu Enwezor. Meeting N0. 7 was an expanded meeting held at the transcorp Hilton Abuja Presidents and leaders of many ethnic nationalities were in attendance notable amongst them were the presidents of oduduwa youth council, Arewa youth council, and Itsekiri National youth council president all of whom just returned from the AFCON 2019 in Egypt ferried on the NFF account.
On the other side are aides of one of the suspects one of whom is the current performing Anambra state football association chairman ” A self styled General of the Nigeria Army” Ex-International Chikelue Ileoyosi. My team consisted former chairman of the the NPFL and NFF 2nd Vice president chief Rumson Victor Baribote, Ex-International Emmanuel Babayaro, Tunde Aderibigbe, Coach James Peters and Barrister Faye Jacob. Meeting N0. 8 was presided by son-inlaw to late chief M.K.O Abiola and former chairman of defunct concord FC of Abeokuta Mohammed Edewor at is Tafawa Balewa Square office lagos.
Meeting NO.9 was convened by a Warri Business tycoon based in Abuja Mr Peter Dunia (aka peter black) of the ocean wave group of companies at his N0. 7 Gana street office Maitama Abuja. Meeting N0.10 was held at a hotel in Ikoyi lagos where one of the suspects usually plays long Tennis the meeting was under the auspices of Warri Boys Association Lagos under chief Godwin Okene as president. When all efforts to inappropriately settle matters under the table failed the suspects resorted to their second strategy of intimidation, harassment, threats, distraction and blackmail. I received a letter of invitation dated 27th february 2020 with reference N0.178/1842 from the Department of State Service (DSS) signed by one Jimada Abba requesting me and my team to report at its Aso drive Avenue headquarters Abuja on the 4th of march by 11am for a meeting on a purported crisis surrounding the NFF.
I refrain to publish the letter for its “classified”contents and what transpired at the meeting. And again on february 16th 2021 I received another letter of invitation from the Warri Area Command headquarters in respect of a petition against me by one of the suspects after which framed charges were filed against me at the federal high court in Warri with very stringent Bail conditions I ended up spending 7days at Sapele prison before I could perfect my Bail conditions the matter is still Subsisting at the federal high court Warri.
This is how desperately corruption can fight back in Nigeria but my new year message to Nigerians especially our football family is that my team has the capacity to recover all looted and misappropriated funds back to the NFF treasury. We move. The series continues.
