Two quick goals in the second half was all FC Robo Queens needed to secure a 2-1 win over Bayelsa Queens of Yenagoa, in a match day six encounter at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Lagos, on Wednesday 20th December, 2023.
The Prosperity Girls have now failed to win their last two games (1-1 vs Rivers Angels and losing 2-1 to FC Robo).
Rose Ekong opened the scoring for Bayelsa Queens in the 21st minute before FC Robo scored two goals in the 51 and 59 minutes.
Bayelsa Queens remain in fourth place still on 9 points from a possible 18 in the league table.
Reflecting on the game, Bayelsa Queens Technical Adviser, Domo Okara said “We came up with a game plan, which is to win the match but we lost. We cannot win every game”.
“We would go and prepare and bounce back, but the loss is painful”, Domo Okara added.
