Para Games: Bayelsa Sports Council Director, Sir Braveman rates Gov Diri High In Sports Investment

The Director of Sports Bayelsa State Sports Council Sir Braveman Wodi has rated Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri high following the state performance at the recently concluded 2023 National Para Games in Abuja.
Bayelsa State finished first position after recording 30 gold, 24 silver and 20 bronze at the 2nd National Para Games.
Sir Braveman Wodi heaped praises on Governor Douye Diri and his deputy Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo and Champion Daniel Igali while speaking to journalists at his office in Yenagaoa, Tuesday.
According to the winning director, the performance of Bayelsa was as a result of targeted investments by Governor Douye Diri since assumption of office.
Sir Braveman said the state contingents were properly funded and Governor Diri carefully tailored sports policy and implementation.
Braveman added that Bayelsa contingents enjoyed best of motivation, thus, they were able to give a good account of themselves as the pride of the Ijaw national in Abuja.
Sir Braveman also attributed the successes to the council management staff, coaches and support staff for their unrelenting efforts in ensuring things are on the right track.
In same vein, Sir Braveman Wodi expresses optimism of a productive 2024 as the year rounds off.
According to the seasoned sports administrator, 2024 holds a lot of capital projects for the oil riched Niger Delta State as Governor Douye Diri intents to build a new stadium to consolidate on the achievements in the sports sector under his administration.
