CAF Women’s Champions League Official Draw to be conducted on Monday, 09 October in Abidjan

The official draw for the CAF Women’s Champions League, Cote d’Ivoire 2023, will take place on Monday 09 October in Abidjan.

The draw will be conducted at 16h00 local time (16h00 GMT) and be livestreamed on CAF digital platforms.

The third edition of this prestigious African women’s club competition is set to take place in the Elephants’ country between 05 and 19 November 2023.

This is the first time that CAF’s elite club competition is hosted in West Africa.

Morocco’s ASFAR are the current champions of the CAF Women’s Champions League after they defeated Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa in Rabat last year.

Mamelodi Sundowns won the inaugural competition in Egypt in 2021.

Both clubs have qualified for the Final tournament.

Cote d’Ivoire’s Athlético Abidjan will fly the host nation’s flag in their maiden appearance, along with four other clubs who are through to the final stage of the competition for the first time. AS Mandé, for their part, are returning after taking part in the inaugural edition in 2021.

  • Athlético Abidjan – Côte d’Ivoire (Host)
  • SC Casablanca – Morocco (UNAF)
  • AS Mandé – Mali (WAFU A)
  • Ampem Darkoa – Ghana (WAFU B)
  • JKT Queens – Tanzania (CECAFA)
  • Mamelodi Sundowns – South Africa (COSAFA, 2021 Champions)
  • Huracanes – Equatorial Guinea (UNIFFAC)
