Varanasi: PM Modi’s Security Breached by Man Seeking job in Indian Army

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security was breached in his Parliamentary constituency, Varanasi, by a man reportedly seeking a job. The incident happened when the prime minister’s convoy was travelling from Rudraksh International Cooperation and Convention Centre to the Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport on Saturday.
A man, identified as Krishna Kumar, a resident of Ghazipur, allegedly jumped in front of the convoy, alerting the security officials. He was immediately caught by security personnel and taken into custody for questioning.
According to police, Krishna, a BJP worker, wanted to meet PM Modi. “Krishna Kumar, son of Bharat Kumar, is a senior BJP worker. He is mentally disturbed and wanted to meet PM Modi,” an official was quoted by India Today as saying.
According to a report by Live Hindustan, the man had been trying to get recruited into the Indian Army. He told police that he had cleared the physical test but failed the medical. He had appealed to a lot of people but to no avail.
Therefore, he decided to contact the prime minister in regard to his recruitment into the Indian Army in Varanasi. Krishna was even carrying a file with him when he jumped in front of PM Modi’s convoy after waiting for an hour for it to pass.

Legendary Indian cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, Ravi Shastri, Sunil Gavaskar, Dilip Vengsarkar and BCCI Chairman, Roger Binny and Secretary Jay Shah were also in attendance at the star-studded foundation laying ceremony of the international cricket stadium in Varanasi.
Sachin Tendulkar presented a customised ‘Namo’ jersey of the Indian Cricket Team to PM Modi.
“This stadium in the city of ‘Mahadev’ will be dedicated to ‘Mahadev’ himself. The sportspersons here will benefit from the construction of an international stadium in Kashi. This stadium will become the star of the Purvanchal region,” PM Modi said while addressing the public.
