Skales, Delta police PRO trade words over Mohbad’s death

Skales: I was homeless after leaving Banky's EME... Olamide came to my rescue

Skales, the Nigerian rapper, and Bright Edafe, the Delta state police spokesperson, have engaged in a heated conversation over the death of Mohbad.

Mohbad, the fast-rising singer, 27, passed away on Tuesday and was laid to rest on Wednesday.

While the cause of his death is still unknown, a report had claimed he died of ear infection — sparking controversy on social media.

However, more clips have continued to surface on social media, showing alleged attacks on Mohbad during his scuffle with Marlian Records, his former label.

In a series of tweets, Skales tackled the police for not “investigating the cause of Mohbad’s death”.

He said “the truth is clear but nothing will be done about it,” adding that “they made life miserable for that kid (Mohbad)”.

Responding to Skales, Edafe said the singer should report the case and file a complaint at the police station and not on social media.

The Delta state police PRO also emphasised that “Twitter is not a police station”.

Apparently cheesed off by Edafe’s response, Skales attacked the police officer with expletive-laden words.

Reacting, Edafe taunted Skales, saying he was too busy to allow the singer to “use me to revive your music career”.

Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, earlier said his son had wounds and that an auxiliary nurse was invited to give him an injection.

Aloba insinuated that the injection might have led to serious complications.
