The Senator representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District, Chief Benson Agadaga, has been appointed as a member of the Bayelsa State national campaign council alongside other party stalwarts of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the November 11, 2023 governorship election in the state.
Agadaga’s inclusion in the campaign council by the national working committee of the PDP, according to his media aide, Quincy Mac-Odo, is “in recognition of his political sagacity and wide acceptance by the people of Bayelsa East and Ogbia Kingdom.
Also cited as reason for his choice is his ability to mobilise the electorate and garner bloc votes to guarantee victory for Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, and the PDP.

“Senator Agadaga is a servant politician with a vast network of political gladiators and followers who are committed to the ideals of the Senator Diri-led Prosperity Administration and will not rest on his oars until victory is achieved and Governor Diri is re-elected for another four year term in office.”
The statement commended the party and the NWC for the recognition, adding that Senator Agadaga who loves the PDP wholeheartedly.
