March 18: Like husband, Soludo’s wife begs Anambra women to vote APGA candidates
Michael Ovat – Awka
Wife of Anambra State Governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo has appealed to women in the state to rally round candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Saturday March 18th, 2023 State House Of Assembly election.
The governor’s wife, who made the appeal in Awka, over the weekend, observed that APGA is still the only political structure that can respond to the interest of every Anambra citizen and sustain the legacies of good governance in the state.
Mrs Soludo reminded the women that voting wrongly, out of emotion or sentiments, could negatively impact on the current development strides going on across the 21 local government area of the state.
She maintained that Anambra people cannot afford to be taken back to days of executive-legislature war that ultimately affected the progress of the state, and asked voters in the state to understand that it is in their hands to either save the state or let her legacies down.
Mrs Soludo, while reassuring that her husband, Professor Chukwuma Soludo is determined to leave an indelible mark on good governance in the state, said that only APGA legislators can understand the imperative of giving total support to the governor to build a livable and prosperous Anambra.
She enjoined the women living in the state to turn out in their numbers and give massive support to APGA and assured that it is the sole identity of Anambra’s political success story.
Earlier, her husband, Charles Soludo also appealed to the people of the State to vote for candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the upcoming March 18th, 2023 State House of Assembly elections.
He said voting for APGA candidates during the election, would help him sustain the tempo of development across the 21 local government areas of the State.
Soludo, made the appeal through his Chief Press Secretary, Comrade Christian Aburime while speaking to Journalists in Awka, on Friday, March 3, in preparation ahead of next Saturday’s House of Assembly election in the State.
