Selena Gomez might never carry her own children due to her bipolar disorder
It appears Selena Gomez won’t be able to carry her own child if she wants to procreate due to two specific meds he takes to combat her bipolar disorder. Back in 2020, the had an April 2020 Instagram live conversation with Miley Cyrus where she revealed that she discovered her mental illness when she visited McLean Hospital. One of the best mental health clinics in the United States.
She doubled down on how great this clinic is last Wednesday during The Kelly Clarkson Show, the hospital is in Massachusetts. Selena Gomez wasn’t aware of her actual diagnosis and knowing more about it has helped heal in a more harmonious manner. All the tools she uses to this day through the psychiatrist she met there have helped her improve her life in surprising ways.
Selena might not be able to carry her own child
The problem comes when she recently spoke to Rolling Stone about her wish to someday become a mother. She revealed that despite cutting massively on the meds she was taking thanks to this clinic, she still takes two that are very risky. Selena revealed that she might not be able to carry her own children in her womb during a pregnancy. Bipolar disorder symptoms can worsen when a diagnosd woman is pregnant.
This is what Gomez said aout the possibility to have children: “That’s a very big, big, present thing in my life. However I’m meant to have them, I will. My psychiatrist really guided me. But I had to detox, essentially, from the medications I was on. I had to learn how to remember certain words. I would forget where I was when we were talking. It took a lot of hard work for me to (a) accept that I was bipolar, but (b) learn how to deal with it because it wasn’t going to go away.”
If a normal pregnancy doesn’t work for her, Selena Gomez can always use a different womb in order to carry her children with her own eggs. It’s a procedure that’s become even more popular today and quite sought after by celebrities. In Gomez‘s case, she might not be able to experience a pregnancy but she may at least be able to have children and raise them.
