The Source, who didn’t want his name in print, told Our Correspondent that about 80 percent of crude oil thieves/pipeline vandals, operating at the Ogidigben area in Ugborodo, are hiding under the cloak of protecting a traditional institution.
When contacted on telephone to confirm if truly Emna Fleet Nigeria Limited, has deployed men and materials to site, the company’s Operations Manager, Erefoluwa Keka, declined comment,
It was gathered that officials of Emna Fleet Nigeria Limited, embarked on site assessment at the Otumara Line and Ogidigben /Trans-Forcados Pipeline area on Sunday September 25 and Monday September 26, to enable the company effectively deploy men and materials to track crude oil thieves and put an end to the economic sabotage, which has contributed largely to the current 900,000 barrels per day production of crude oil in Nigeria, as against the1.826m bpd quota allotted to the country by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC.
