According to the SCA, this was the first ever trip for the container vessel, which saw it go from from Malaysia to the Netherlands, crossing the Suez Canal from the South.

Currently the largest container vessel in the world, Ever Art has a 221,000 tonnage and can carry 24,132 containers on board.

According to Chairman of SCA Admiral Osama Rabae, Ever Art is part of the Evergreen line, and it is its sixth vessel in a series of gigantic container vessels that successfully crossed the Suez Canal before several times.

SCA assigned several veterans and highly experience transit guides to accompany the vessel in its trip, Rabae said.

The vessel, which sails under the flag of Taiwan, was built in 2022

Evergreen line’s gigantic Ever Given earned infamous notoriety after running aground diagonally across the canal in March 2021 halting traffic in both directions for nearly a week before it was successfully refloated.

Since then, the Ever Given vessel has crossed the Suez Canal several times.
