Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has equalled a unique English Premier League record with Didier Drogba.
After Manchester United’s impressive 3-0 victory away to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening, Ronaldo is in the record books again.

It seems like you cannot keep Ronaldo out of the headlines nor the record books nowadays. Whether he is playing for Manchester United in the English Premier League, Uefa Champions League or for Portugal, he always seems to be achieving yet another level and new accolade in his already 18-year long and illustrious career.
RONALDO’S FIRST RECORD OF THE WEEK
Just earlier this week, Ronaldo was in the news again, after announcing the he and his partner are expecting twins. If that was not enough frenzy , the Portuguese international saw his post on his official Instagram account garner a record of over 25 million likes. That figure saw him surpass his long-term rival in Paris Saint-Germain’s Lionel Messi’s previous Instagram record post where he is posing with his family.

Messi’s post was able to amass all of 22 million likes, and Ronaldo surpassing that, would have undoubtedly put an even bigger smile on his face. But that was not him done with regards to records this week, as he seemingly reserved a more meaningful one for last.
SECOND AND FOOTBALL RECORD
Ronaldo won the player of the match award for his performance for Manchester United in their victory, with his goal and assist going a long way in helping Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side dispatch countryman Nuno Espirito Santos’ Tottenham side. What was more interesting, however, is that his goal and assist made Ronaldo the oldest player (36 years 267 days) to score and assist in an English Premier League game since Didier Drogba.
DROGBA ALSO BROKE THE RECORD AGAINST TOTTENHAM AT THE EXACT SAME AGE!
Now what makes this record even more interesting is that when Drogba initially broke it playing in the colours of Chelsea he was also exactly 36 years and 267 days old. But wait there is more. Just like Ronaldo the opponents in which the Ivorian broke the record against, was also Tottenham Hotspur. Now how about that for a coincidence?
