Shocking moment Paraguayan governor’s daughter, her drug dealer boyfriend and two other women are executed outside a nightclub

Surveillance video footage has captured the moment gunmen jumped out of a vehicle and fired more than 100 shots, killing a Paraguayan governor’s daughter, her drug dealer boyfriend, and two other women outside a nightclub on Saturday.
Haylee Acevedo, 21, her boyfriend Omar Álvarez, 32, and friends Kaline Reinoso, 22, and Rhamye Borges, 18, were about to drive away from the club before they were ambushed in Pedro Juan Caballero, a city located across the street from Ponta Porã, a town in the central-west Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul.
Paraguay Interior Minister Arnaldo Giuzzio told Paraguayan network ABC TV on Tuesday that in September, governor Acevedo turned down an offer from Amambay’s police director to provide him and his family a security detail.
Giuzzio also confirmed that Álvarez was part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
A security camera shows the four victims walking to the SUV, which according to Brazilian authorities had been reported stolen in June.
A second camera shows Acevedo, the daughter of Amambay governor Ronald Acevedo, stepping into the vehicle and closing the door when one of the gunmen ran over from a pickup truck and opened fire.
Acevedo, Álvarez, Borges and Reinoso, both of who were identified as Brazilian nationals, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said that the suspects were targeting Álvarez. He was allegedly involved in drug trafficking activities along the Paraguay-Brazil border region.
‘We are overwhelmed by organized crime. My daughter was in the wrong place with the wrong person,’ governor Acevedo told ABC TV on Tuesday.
The governor also distanced his daughter from Álvarez, alleging that they were not a couple.
Acevedo, Borges and Reinoso were all studying to be doctors at Paraguay Central University’s Pedro Juan Caballero campus.
Paraguayan authorities said the assailants fired 107 shots with an AK-47 and an AR-15.
Álvarez was shot 32 times. Reinoso received 14 shots and Borges was shot 10 times. Acevedo was struck by six bullets.
Police on Monday raided a home in the Pedro Juan Caballero neighborhood of Villa Estefan – located about four miles from the district of San Antonio where the shooting took place – and arrested six Brazilian men who were allegedly involved in the attack.

They were identified as Hywulysson Forest; Juarez da Silva; Luis Silva; Gabriel Veiga; Farley da Silva; and Douglas Ribeiro, Brazilian news outlet G1 reported.
The vehicle used by the gunmen was found burned in the Fortuna Guazú neighborhood Sunday.
A seventh suspect had been arrested Sunday following a high speed chase in which the Paraguayan police exchanged gun fire. Two other suspects managed to flee and remain at large.

‘We are gathering all the data, there are many closed circuit cameras that we are reviewing,’ police deputy César Silguero said, as quoted by Paraguayan digital news outlet ABC. ‘Apparently, one of the detainees closely resembles one of the hitmen. On the other hand, the truck that was burned last night was not reported as stolen, but we found photos that it was in this house.’
The Paraguayan border town of Pedro Juan Caballero has seen an uptick in murders over the last two weeks, including the assassination of city council candidate Néstor Echeverría on October 1. Navy captain Humberto Fleitas was shot dead by at least six gunmen as he was about to leave his home the morning of September 28.
‘The Pedro Juan region is a region of intense movement and dispute for control of drug and arms trafficking routes,’ Ponta Porã Federal Police chief Diego Santana, according to G1. ‘This is why there is an intense movement on the part of criminal organizations to control this route and seek to dominate this shipment of drugs and weapons in general.’
