Chike, Ayra Starr and Cobhams Asuquo, three of Nigeria’s finest artistes, performed to dazzling effect during the live show at the grand finale of Nigerian Idol Season 6, Africa’s biggest music talent show.

After 12 weeks of electrifying live performances and nonstop excitement, the season’s grand finale held on Sunday, July 11, 2021. Francis Atela and Kingdom Kroseide were the only two contestants remaining, and fans clearly put in the work to ensure that their faves would be crowned winner: a total of 80 million votes were counted at the online polls:

Chike collaborated with Francis on his hit single “Roju”, Ayra Starr thrilled the fans as she performed her hit single “Away”, and Cobhams performed a duet with Kingdom on his single “One Hit.”

Sunday’s live show also featured a live performance from veteran Nigerian rapper Ice Prince. The 36-year-old, who was a surprise addition to the lineup of live performances, handed in a brilliant rendition of his hit single “Kolo”, which was released earlier in the year.

The winner of Nigerian Idol Season 6 will walk away with a recording deal of a six-track EP, with music video shoots for three of the songs, and over 50 million Naira worth of prizes which include a ₦30 million cash prize and a brand new SUV.
